Knobbe Martens and Partners Ranked in 2019 Benchmark Litigation Guide
Knobbe Martens is pleased to announce that the firm has been ranked in the National and California categories of Benchmark Litigation’s 2019 edition, which exclusively covers leading litigation firms and attorneys in the United States.
The firm was ranked in Tier 2 for Intellectual Property, in both California and the United States overall.
Partner Joseph Re received multiple rankings, including “Local Litigation Star”, “Benchmark California Star”, and “National Practice Area Star”, for achieving multiple favorable settlements and verdicts over the last decade. This included, obtaining a favorable settlement for his client, Masimo, in November 2016 that settled all outstanding litigation in an extensive patent dispute with Philips Electronics North America and its European affiliate company. The settlement enacted a multi-year business partnership with Phillips that integrates Masimo’s innovative pulse oximetry technology in Philips’ patient monitors and also included a $300 million lump sum payment to Masimo.
Partner John Sganga was also listed in the definitive guide as a “Local Litigation Star” and a “Benchmark California Star” for 2019. Jared Bunker were listed on the “40 & Under Hot List” for California, while Jonathan Bachand was listed on the “40 & Under Hot List” for Washington, D.C. Newly ranked Partners Christy Lea and Colin Heideman were named “Future Stars”.
