Knobbe Martens’ Orange County Office Announces New Partners for 2016
Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP, one of the leading intellectual property law firms in the United States, is pleased to announce that two associates, Jason Champion and Daniel Gibson, have been promoted to partner in their Orange County office effective January 1, 2016.
Jason Champion joined the firm in 2008, after receiving his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. Mr. Champion represents and counsels clients in intellectual property disputes relating to patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. His practice focuses on patent and trademark litigation, primarily in the areas of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical devices. Mr. Champion has represented clients at all stages of the litigation process, including pre-litigation counseling, discovery, motion practice, trial, mediation and settlement. He has been involved in numerous litigations involving Abbreviated New Drug Applications under the Hatch-Waxman Act and has experience with claim construction, preliminary injunctions, all aspects of discovery, and working with expert witnesses.
Daniel Gibson joined the firm in 2009, after earning his J.D. from the Brigham Young University J. Reuben Clark Jr. School of Law. Mr. Gibson’s practice focuses on intellectual property counseling in various technology areas, including computer software, computer hardware, e-commerce, medical devices, optics, and automotive technologies. He assists clients with strategic patent portfolio management, infringement and validity analyses, patent risk management, and IP due diligence.
