Joseph (“Joey”) guides clients through all aspects of brand searches, protection, and enforcement in the U.S. and abroad. He advises clients at all levels: from emerging or expanding brands to established companies with global trademark and copyright portfolios. Joey can work with clients in all industries to meet their trademark and copyright needs, but he has extensive experience working with clients in the entertainment, sports, luxury and consumer goods, and hospitality industries.
Joey graduated with honors in 2017 from the night program at Fordham University School of Law where he also served as the Senior Notes & Articles Editor of the University’s IP Journal. He joined the commercial litigation group in the New York office of a large, international firm after graduating. Before moving to Knobbe Martens, Joey practiced international trademark and copyright protection and enforcement at an IP boutique in the city.
Prior to law school, Joey studied philosophy at Boston University. When he is not at his desk, you can likely find him at a soccer game, at a concert, in a brewery, or on a hiking trail.
