Knobbe Martens Partner Eric Furman Presents “Protecting Innovation in Regenerative Cell Medicine” at Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association Conference

Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP partner Eric Furman Ph.D., J.D. will present “Protecting Innovation in Regenerative Cell Medicine” at the 23rd Annual Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association South Western Regional Conference on Saturday, February 16. The conference will be held at the Carlsbad Sheraton Resort & Spa, 5480 Grand Pacific Drive, Carlsbad, California.

The presentation will explore different claiming strategies that are useful in the United States to gain patent protection for regenerative cell populations. He will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of product claims as well as methods of making and using these products. Approaches to prevent accidental anticipation and inherency will also be provided.

Dr. Furman’s presentation will be held during Session I, as part of Track A, in the “Carlsbad A” conference room beginning at 1:15pm. His talk will run from 2:55-3:15pm. For more information and registration details, please visit www.ksea.org.
