Knobbe Martens To Host 'IP Impact 2011' Seminar In San Diego

Congressman Darrell Issa will be the keynote speaker at Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP’s ‘IP Impact 2011’ seminar in San Diego on Monday, August 15. The seminar, which is designed for C-Level executives, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, IP managers, corporate counsel and licensing executives, will cover innovative intellectual property strategies for life science and technology companies.

Congressman Issa, who represents California's 49th Congressional District, is currently a member of the House Judiciary Committee and the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, where he serves as the Chairman. As the holder of 37 patents himself, Congressman Issa has been vigilant about protecting the intellectual property rights of artists and other entrepreneurs to help protect innovation and creativity in the entertainment and technology industries.

Knobbe Martens partners Mark Abumeri, Erik Anderson, John Carson, Joseph Mallon, Ph.D., Chris Steinhardt, Rose Thiessen, Ph.D., and Boris Zelkind will serve as the seminar panelists and will discuss pursuing an aggressive patent portfolio strategy in the United States, patent litigation strategy, intellectual property cost management and significant Supreme Court and Federal Circuit decisions affecting the life science and technology industries.
