Overview
With clients that range from start-ups to household names, Jeremy Carney represents innovative companies of all sizes in intellectual property matters worldwide. He has a track record of proven results on IP matters in a variety of high-tech fields, including: artificial intelligence and machine learning, speech recognition and natural language understanding, cryptography and blockchains, high performance computing and cloud computing systems, mobile electronic devices and accessories, medical devices, and business methods.
During his decade of hands-on experience working in the computer technology field prior to the law, Jeremy developed software systems for a wide range of industries and technical platforms. As a result, he functions as an industry insider with no learning curve. He understands the technology at stake and hits the ground running to identify critical IP issues. Moreover, Jeremy makes a point of working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure that effective coverage is ultimately realized.
Jeremy has also worked as a commercialization analyst, conducting market research and patentability screenings on technologies developed at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) and other world-class research facilities. Working on cutting-edge innovation and, in particular, determining the potential value of prospective new and emerging technologies gives Jeremy business-focused experience that clients and colleagues alike depend upon and value.
