Overview
Kurt Jacobs is an associate in our Orange County office. Kurt helps clients with a variety of intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution and litigation. He received his J.D. degree from the Ohio State University Moritz college of law. While attending law school, Kurt was president of the Intellectual Property law society, a Managing Editor of the Ohio State Technology Law Journal, and worked for the university’s Technology Commercialization Office.
Before law school, Kurt was an in-house patent agent, where he worked to develop the company’s patent portfolio for their battery, polymer, thermal film, and nanomaterial technologies. He worked as a process engineer for the same start-up to develop and scale material manufacturing processes for graphene and silicon anode materials.
Kurt received his B.S in Chemical engineering from the Ohio State University. As an undergraduate researcher he worked in a cell nano-electroporation and nanomaterial lab group.
Kurt worked as a summer associate at the firm in 2023 and joined the firm in 2024.
