Mary Bao’s practice focuses on domestic and international patent prosecution, trademark prosecution and enforcement, as well as intellectual property litigation. Mary has experience in areas including mechanical engineering, medical device, automotive, software, telecommunications, and food and beverages.
Mary graduated from Boston College Law School with an emphasis on intellectual property, cyber and telecommunications law. During law school, Mary served leadership roles in the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association to promote awareness and support the Asian community. She has assisted clients with trademark issues while participating in the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Clinic and worked in-house at a start-up company on patent issues during an internship.
Mary received her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University with courses in Chemistry and programming (python). She also graduated with a certificate in engineering leadership which developed her communication, management and cooperation skills. She has worked on projects involving medical device and green technology.
Mary joined Knobbe Martens as an associate in 2021.
