Professional Profile 

Mr. Kubota has extensive subject matter expertise in industrial robotics as well as automotive technology, including engines, outboard motors, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, personal watercraft and snowmobiles.  His in-depth understanding of relevant technologies as they relate to clients’ business objectives enables Mr. Kubota to contribute to the development of sophisticated, cost-effective solutions to high-stakes intellectual property and product liability disputes.

Before joining Knobbe Martens, Mr. Kubota was a partner in a law firm specialized in IP/M&A and cross boarder litigations. Also Mr. Kubota served in a variety of legal and executive capacities at Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. for more than 17 years, including the supervision and coordination of all legal matters throughout the United States.  He last served as Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A.
