David Hulett practices intellectual property law with a focus in trademark and copyright enforcement. David has experience working on intellectual property matters in industries such as entertainment, venture capital, business development, and consumer electronics.
David graduated from Howard University with a dual JD/MBA degree in 2021. Before law school, David earned his BA from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in African and African Diaspora Studies and an Anthropology minor.
In law school, David worked collaboratively with others while serving as a member of the International Moot Court team, the Space law Moot Court team, and as treasurer of the Intellectual Property Students Association. Additionally, he served as a research assistant to Professor Matthew Bruckner working on issues regarding Fintech.

Clerk Experience
Since David finished his degree program a semester early, he decided to clerk with Knobbe part-time while backpacking across several continents. David also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Judge Michael Rankin in the D.C. Superior Court.
David received numerous scholarships while in law school including the Howard University Merit Scholarship, the Howard Entertainment Fellowship, the Hennessy Fellowship, the IBM Masters Fellowship, and the BESLA Law Student Scholarship.
