Jordan A. DeOrio

Jordan A. DeOrio advises clients on global patent portfolio management and patent procurement to obtain protection for key innovations. He also has experience in competitive landscape analysis, IP-related agreements, patent infringement risk mitigation, pre-litigation analysis, and IP due diligence. Jordan assists clients in a wide range of technologies, with an emphasis on medical devices, mechanical devices, and electromechanical devices.

Within the medical device industry, Jordan has advised clients developing thrombectomy systems, neuromodulation devices, heart assist devices, extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) devices, orthopedic implants and instruments, augmented reality (AR) surgery systems, ureteroscopic systems, ophthalmic technologies, and robotic ultrasound devices, among others.

Within the mechanical and electromechanical spaces, Jordan has experience working with clients developing automotive systems, recycling machinery, solar energy systems, cabinetry, and consumer products, among others.

During law school, Jordan served as a student practitioner in the Lisa Foundation Patent Law Clinic. Jordan also gained experience working in-house at a micro-display company where he assisted with managing the company’s patent portfolio.

Jordan worked as a summer associate in 2022 before joining the firm as an associate in 2023.
