Overview
David Trossen is a partner in our San Francisco office. His focus is on patent counseling and prosecution across a variety of electronics-related technologies, with an emphasis on integrated circuits and semiconductors. His areas of expertise include radio frequency electronics, analog circuits, sensors, robotics, and all aspects of semiconductor chip design and packaging. Mr. Trossen also has experience with analysis of patent portfolios for mergers and acquisitions, preparation of non-infringement and invalidity opinions, and litigation support.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Trossen spent two years designing analog circuits and two years developing field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). He is an inventor on five patents, including U.S. Patent Nos. 7,889,530, 7,885,103, and 7,557,605, relating to content-addressable memories, carbon nanotube MEMS devices, and heterogeneous configurable ICs, respectively.
David Trossen joined the firm in 2009.
