In addition to firmwide rankings, Chambers has also ranked four of the firm’s partners as distinguished leaders in their respective fields:

Well-known for successfully counseling clients in all aspects of patent and trademark issues, Ms. Anderson has been praised by Chambers as “a fantastic lawyer.” With nearly three decades of experience, she has been very active in the procurement of patent assets in the computer science and ecommerce fields, and is a recognized thought leader in IP with respect to patent subject matter eligibility.

  • Joseph Re, a nationally recognized trial and appellate attorney, has long been one of the firm’s leading first-chair litigators.  A partner at the firm since 1990 and a former President of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, Mr. Re has once again been ranked in California for Patent Litigation.  Mr. Re has been ranked by Chambers for 17 years and has been consistently ranked in numerous other publications.  This year, Chambers described him as “very knowledgeable and responsive,” giving him an ability to quickly gain his client’s trust.  Over his thirty-five-year career, all at Knobbe Martens, Mr. Re has been leading the firm’s numerous trial teams, successfully trying numerous high-stakes technology cases, the majority of those before juries in federal courts throughout the country.
  • Lynda Zadra-Symes, co-chair of the firm’s trademark and copyright litigation practice, was ranked in California for IP trademark, copyright & trade secrets. Ms. Zadra-Symes, described by Chambers as “skilled and [an] extremely capable trademark litigator,” has experience in many areas including social media, domain names, anti-counterfeiting and advertising.
