Jordan A. DeOrio is an associate in the firm’s Orange County office. His practice focuses on strategic patent procurement and patent portfolio management. Jordan also has experience in pre-litigation analysis, intellectual property due diligence, and competitive landscape analysis. Jordan assists clients in a wide range of technologies, with an emphasis on medical devices, electromechanical devices, and consumer products.
Jordan received his Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University where he served as a student practitioner in the Lisa Foundation Patent Law Clinic. As a student practitioner, Jordan counseled numerous clients through the patent and trademark application processes, leading to many successful patent issuances and trademark registrations. During law school, Jordan also gained experience working in-house at a micro-display company where he helped build a patent portfolio that strategically protected the company’s newly developed technologies.
Before attending law school, Jordan received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University. While obtaining his engineering degree, Jordan conducted research in the field of materials science. His research was aimed at developing surface treatments for improving the material characteristics of metals.
Jordan worked as a summer associate in 2022 before joining the firm as an associate in 2023.
