Overview
Joseph is a partner in Knobbe Martens’ New York City office and a member of the firm’s Trademark and Brand Protection group. He advises on all aspects of trademark protection and enforcement for emerging, well-established, and famous brands in the U.S. and abroad. Joseph’s clients span across all industries, but he regularly counsels industry leaders in entertainment, sports, technology, luxury, fashion, consulting, food and beverages, and hospitality. His clients trust him to develop worldwide registration and enforcement strategies to build, protect, and transfer their most valuable assets: their IP.
Joseph draws on 15 years of experience in the legal industry when advising clients. He began his practice in commercial litigation at a large international firm in New York before transitioning to a dedicated trademark and copyright practice. A strong supporter of the arts, Joseph provides over 100 hours per year of advice to pro bono artist and non-profit clients in New York. He is also an active member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, planning educational and networking events as a co-chair of the Entertainment, Sports, and Social Media Committee.
Joseph graduated with honors from the night program at Fordham University School of Law where he served as the Senior Notes & Articles Editor of the University’s IP Journal.
When he is not at his desk, you can likely find him at a soccer game, at a concert, in a brewery, or in the mountains.
