Andrew W. Lloyd

Andrew Lloyd represents clients in a wide range of intellectual property matters, with particular focus on patent prosecution and portfolio strategy with respect to computer software and Internet-related technology. Andrew also has substantial experience performing patent opinion work, including conducting infringement and invalidity analyses. His practice additionally includes inter partes review proceedings before the USPTO’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board, software licensing agreements, and intellectual property due diligence investigations.

Representative subject matter of patent applications and other legal work that he has handled includes distributed computing and storage systems, computer vision, machine learning, online retail systems, content recommendation algorithms, online advertising, digital content distribution, mobile applications, video games, social networks, augmented reality, financial analysis, and blockchain technology (including smart contracts, decentralized applications and other Web3 development). He also helps clients obtain design patents directed to user interface features of their websites and mobile applications.

Andrew joined the firm in 2008 and became a partner in 2015.
