Lex Machina, a LexisNexis company, publishes the report annually to provide insight into key litigation metrics. The report surveyed each of Lex Machina’s practice areas from January 1 to September 30, 2018.
Knobbe Martens was ranked among the most active law firms representing both Patent Owners and Petitioners in Patent Office Litigation cases before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). The survey also ranked Knobbe Martens among the top 5 firms in the number of patents defended and the number of appearances before PTAB judges. Knobbe has the most patent attorneys of any U.S. law firm, with over 100 attorneys experienced in Patent Office Litigation. To date, the firm has represented parties in over 300 cases before the PTAB.
