On Thursday, April 15, partners Andrew Douglas, Christian Fox, and Sabing Lee will be discussing strategies for how to get your patents faster, how to build a web of patents using continuation applications and how to utilize the patent office to address your competitors’ patents.
The seminar, titled ‘Latest Strategies for Effectively Managing Your Patent Portfolio,’ is part of OCTANe Foundation for Innovation’s (OFI) Building Block series. The series is a six month development program designed to help entrepreneurs sharpen the skills needed to create, manage and grow a successful business.
The seminar will be held from 7:30–9:30 a.m. at Knobbe Martens’ Irvine offices, 2040 Main Street, Irvine, CA in the 2nd Floor Conference Center.
Mr. Douglas’ practice includes patent portfolio management, general counseling on licensing, trademarks, and other related issues. Mr. Douglas currently represents clients in a variety of technologies, including ophthalmic devices and methods, cardiovascular devices and methods, orthopedic devices and methods, shade structures and other mechanical engineering related technologies.
Mr. Fox’s practice focuses on patent procurement, licensing, portfolio administration and strategic planning in a wide variety of technologies, including computer software and hardware, data storage, interactive game play and medical devices.
Mr. Lee’s practice includes strategic patent procurement, patent portfolio management, intellectual property due diligence, general counseling on infringement and licensing, interferences, reexaminations, and other related issues. Mr. Lee currently represents clients in a wide range of technologies, including medical devices, nanotechnology, and semiconductor fabrication.
