On November 7, Knobbe Martens client Toshiba Corporation successfully obtained summary judgment in a significant NPE case. The plaintiff had sued over 30 defendants for infringing patents directed to Ethernet technology. Judge Claudia Wilken of the Northern District of California granted judgment of invalidity on two patents and non-infringement of two others. The judgment brings an end to this five year case.
