Partners Fred Berretta, Ned Israelsen, Joseph Reisman and Boris Zelkind of Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP have been selected as 2013 San Diego Super Lawyers® for their intellectual property law and litigation practices. All have been recognized in previous years.
Israelsen, managing partner of the San Diego office, was recognized for his intellectual property law practice which focuses on advising startup companies and established businesses in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical industries.
Berretta was recognized for his intellectual property litigation practice which primarily focuses on patent infringement cases in district courts throughout the United States and related appellate work, involving many different technology areas, including medical devices, electronics and communications, software, biotechnology and diagnostics, chemicals, semiconductors, and mechanical devices.
Reisman was recognized for his intellectual property litigation practice in which he focuses on the pharmaceutical industry. His litigation practice includes work on behalf of plaintiffs in patent infringement litigation and trade secret misappropriation litigation, as well as work on behalf of defendants. His work for defendants includes counseling and handling litigation (including appeals) for generic pharmaceutical manufacturers, including work that has led to the early market entry of an affordable generic version of Lipitor®, as well as other prominent drug products.
Zelkind was recognized for his intellectual property litigation practice. He focuses his litigation practice on patent infringement actions in areas of medical devices, electronics, and tactical products, including appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, as well as trade secret misappropriation and trademark infringement actions throughout the United States.
