Overview
Michael Forman is a seasoned intellectual property litigator and appellate advocate with nearly two decades of experience handling complex patent matters across federal courts and agencies.
Michael’s extensive government background, serving as an Associate Solicitor at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) and previously as an Attorney Advisor at the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), gives him a unique perspective on how patent and administrative issues are evaluated within federal agencies.
During his time at the USPTO, Michael argued over 40 appeals before the Federal Circuit and handled a wide range of matters involving patentability and administrative law. Before that, he advised Administrative Law Judges at the ITC on the full lifecycle of Section 337 investigations. Earlier in his career, Michael was in private practice, where he worked on patent litigation and related commercial disputes.
With an electrical engineering background and experience across a range of technologies, Michael brings technical fluency, strategic judgment, and a solutions-oriented approach to helping clients protect and advance their innovations.
