Overview
Jaeyoung Choi is a litigation associate in our Orange County office. Jaeyoung helps clients with a variety of intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark litigation. He has worked on cases in district court, the Federal Circuit, the PTAB, and the ITC.
Jaeyoung received his J.D. from Berkeley Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal. There, he also received the Prosser Prize (#2 in the class) in Patent Litigation II: PTAB & ITC Litigation, and a high honors grade (top 10%) in Patent Law.
Before attending law school, Jaeyoung received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering. During undergrad, he was a research assistant for the Theoretical & Applied Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, where he researched hydroelectric power solutions using ocean currents. He also worked two summers at a large international aerospace company as a manufacturing engineering intern.
Jaeyoung was a 1L and 2L summer associate at the firm and joined as an associate in 2024. Jaeyoung was previously a summer associate at Fish & Richardson, P.C.
