Jessica Achtsam practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on U.S. and foreign patent portfolio management, IP due diligence, and competitive landscape analysis in the medical device and biotechnology fields. She represents clients in a variety of technologies, including wound care devices and methods, orthopedic surgery devices and methods, ophthalmic devices and methods, and other medical device related technologies.
Before attending law school, Jessica worked in research and development for Rules-Based Medicine, Inc. (now Myriad RBM, Inc.) in the area of biomarker testing development. During law school, she served as the Volume 20 Editor-in-Chief of the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal.
Jessica worked as a summer associate at the firm in 2011 and joined the firm in 2012.
