IRVINE, Calif., February 19, 2026 – A team from Knobbe Martens delivered a complete win for Veros Credit and two of its employees in a trade-secret misappropriation case brought by United Auto Credit Corporation (UACC).
In January 2025, UACC brought a complaint against Veros Credit, a competitor in the auto lending space, and two of Veros Credit’s employees, alleging misappropriation of UACC’s trade secrets and several other claims. At the outset, Knobbe Martens obtained dismissal with prejudice of one claim. On February 19, 2026, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California granted Knobbe Martens’ motion for summary judgment on behalf of Veros Credit and the two employees named in the complaint on all remaining claims, resulting in a full defense victory. A trial in the case had been scheduled to start on March 3.

The Knobbe Martens team advising Veros Credit included firmwide Litigation Practice Chair Sheila Swaroop, partner Mark Lezama, and associate Nicholas Belair.
This success follows on Knobbe Martens’ win in a trade secret and patent infringement case on behalf of x-ray technology pioneer Sigray last fall. Learn more about that success here.
