SAN DIEGO, October 21, 2025 – Knobbe Martens is pleased to share that partners Robert Hilton and Daniel Hughes have been recognized as “Leaders of Influence in Law” by the San Diego Business Journal. Those included on the list are considered “the outstanding legal leaders in San Diego County,” according to the publication.
The SDBJ deemed Dr. Hilton “a trusted advisor for protecting breakthrough innovations” for clients in the pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology, and medical device industries. The publication further noted how his scientific background empowers him to “understand clients’ technologies at a deep level and craft strategies that maximize their impact.”
Mr. Hughes, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice, was recognized for his track record of representing software and electronics clients in complex IP disputes, including in district court and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The SDBJ lauded his capacity for “combining legal strategies with emerging technologies” to help clients achieve successful outcomes.
