Knobbe Martens is pleased to announce that Partner Michael Fuller has been named to the San Diego Business Journal’s inaugural “SD500” list. The list, published on December 12 as a special supplement to the newspaper, names the 500 most influential business leaders in San Diego – “Experts from key industries and key players in the community who are driving civic initiatives or serving in key roles on impactful boards,” according to Editor-in-Chief, Nels Jensen.
Mr. Fuller is Co-Managing Partner of the firm’s San Diego office and Chair of the firm’s Biotechnology Practice Group. With over two decades of IP experience, and a unique technological background, Mr. Fuller represents a diverse group of clients in high stakes intellectual property matters in the biotech and high technology industries, leading deals worth hundreds of millions of dollars on behalf of his clients. His practice includes contentious patent office proceedings, such as IPRs and ex parte reexaminations. He also oversees patent prosecution, IP diligence, licensing and related negotiations for mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Fuller is a recipient of numerous awards including being recognized among the world’s leading practitioners of patent law in the 2016 edition of Who’s Who Legal’s Patents List, selected for inclusion in the 2016 “San Diego Super Lawyers” list, and named by the Legal 500 as being an outstanding practitioner for inter partes reviews and ex parte patent re-examinations.
Mr. Fuller and Co-Managing Partner Tom Arno continue to oversee the rapid growth of the San Diego office, which added seven new attorneys in 2016 and now has over 70 attorneys and patent scientists focusing on intellectual property issues.
