Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP, one of the largest intellectual property firms in the United States, announced that partners Tirzah Lowe and Bryan Wahl, M.D. were recognized by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) as Rising Stars in the legal industry. Lowe and Wahl were two of only twelve Rising Stars selected from across the country; chosen for their innovative approach to their legal practice and natural leadership skills. They will be profiled in the upcoming March/April issue of MCCA’s publication, Diversity & the Bar.
Lowe has experience in domestic and international trademark, copyright and internet law. She has coordinated the brand management and enforcement strategies for many well-known companies and has extensive experience before foreign and domestic Trademark offices and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Lowe currently serves as the President of the Orange County Asian American Bar Association and recently finished her term as the Regional Governor for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
Wahl has experience with intellectual property protection, infringement studies, financings and strategic transactions, especially with respect to medical devices and biotechnology. Prior to joining the firm, Wahl received his medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency at the UCLA-affiliated Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and is board certified in internal medicine.
