Overview
Erin Cardinal’s practice includes patent prosecution focused in the medical device industry.
As a biomedical engineer, Erin obtained the necessary FDA and local hospital approvals for a neuroprosthesis research consortium. During law school, she worked with several medical device startup companies securing patent protection to enable the organizations to grow. After becoming an attorney, Erin became an examiner in electrosurgical arts at the U.S .Patent and Trademark Office, building expertise negotiating meaningful claim scope.
Erin joined the Washington, D.C. office in 2021.
Admitted to practice only in Virginia. Practice outside of Virginia is limited to matters and proceedings before federal courts and agencies.
