Dr. Kimberly Miller, a partner in Knobbe Martens’ San Diego office, has been recognized in the 2021 Lexology Client Choice Awards as the sole recipient for Intellectual Property – Patents in California for her ability to continuously surpass the expectations of her clients and add value to their businesses. Unlike other awards, nominations for Lexology Client Choice Awards are submitted solely by the nominee’s client. This year’s winners were selected from a pool of more than 2,000 individual client assessments, aimed at rating attorneys on more than a dozen criteria, including: commercial awareness, industry knowledge, strategic thinking, billing transparency, effective communication, use of technology, loyalty and ethics.
Kim represents individuals from a range of technical disciplines, including chemistry, pharmaceuticals, polymers and biotechnology. She has a diverse practice in IP portfolio management and development, due diligence and landscape analysis, licensing initiatives and obtaining design patents. Her clients include individual investors, venture funded start-ups, university spin-offs and publicly traded companies. Additionally, Kim organizes and participates in presentations on intellectual property law matters and gender issues before various legal, business and other professional and community organizations across the country.
