Knobbe Martens is pleased to announce that Euromoney Legal Media Group (LMG) selected partner Susan Natland as the recipient of the “Best in Trademark” award at the 2020 Americas Women in Business Law Awards ceremony, held virtually on September 17th.
The annual awards draw on corporate recommendations to identify women leaders at the forefront of business law. This year’s awards recognized outstanding female attorneys from North and South America in 32 key practice areas who were chosen by LMG’s senior editors following extensive research, including peer review interviews. Natland, who also received the “Best in Trademark” honor in 2015, has been named to LMG’s Americas Women in Business Law expert guide four times in recent years.
Natland co-chairs Knobbe Martens’ Trademark and Brand Protection Group, specializing in domestic and international trademark selection and clearance, brand protection, enforcement and related areas. Known as a fierce advocate for her clients, she has successfully argued multiple cases before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, advises officials at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a member of the Trademark Public Advisory Committee (TPAC), to which she was appointed in early 2020, and has even personally attended raids of counterfeit goods warehouses in China. Natland is also a strong supporter of women’s progress in law as a former member of and Chair of the firm’s diversity committee.
