Knobbe Martens Obtains Import Ban on Infringing Apple Watches
The United States International Trade Commission issued its Exclusion Order in October 2023
IRVINE, CALIF., February 1, 2024 – Last month, the Federal Circuit lifted a temporary stay on the import ban of certain Apple Watch models. This decision reinstates the U.S. International Trade Commission’s (USITC) limited exclusion order and cease and desist order against Apple watches that were found to infringe Masimo’s patented pulse oximetry technology.
A team from Knobbe Martens has represented Masimo throughout the matter. The team included, among others, partners Steve Jensen, Joseph Re, Sheila Swaroop, Brian Claassen, Irfan Lateef, Jon Bachand, Carol Pitzel Cruz, Alan Laquer, Ted Cannon, Kendall Loebbaka, Doug Wentzel, and Daniel Kiang.
