Knobbe Martens Gives Back through the AIPLA Women in IP Community Service Event
WASHINGTON, D.C., January 30, 2024 – Knobbe Martens’ D.C. office co-hosted the AIPLA Women in IP Community Service Event for the D.C. area by partnering with Finnegan and Maryland-based nonprofit Comfort Cases® to give back to the local community. During the event, attendees packed 100 backpacks with essentials and comfort items for children entering foster care.
Rob Scheer, CEO of Comfort Cases®, shared his story of growing up in foster care and emphasized the importance of the mission of Comfort Cases®. He inspired the attendees of the event to build a community that focuses on bringing dignity and hope to children in foster care.

Devanie has helped to organize the AIPLA Women in IP Community Service Event for the D.C. area for the past several years, alongside partner Andrea Cheek.
The AIPLA Women in IP Community Service Event comprises multiple events directed towards helping those in need throughout the country. The events provide an opportunity for women to build relationships with those who practice Intellectual Property while giving back to their local community.
