Knobbe Martens partners Kimberly Miller, Ph.D. and Mark Lezama were both quoted in IP Watchdog articles that focused on predictions and hopes for intellectual property in 2024.
Miller, who was quoted in the article “Think Big: Tell Us Your Wildest New Year Dreams for IP,” shared her wish that different countries would take “a more unified approach to continuation/divisional practice.”
Lezama, who was quoted in the article “What Lies Ahead: Here’s What IP Practitioners Will Be Watching in 2024,” shared he is looking forward to the en banc decision in LKQ Corporation v. GM Global Technology Operations LLC. “From the sheer number of questions the Federal Circuit requested briefing on, it seems likely we’ll see at least some change in the law on design-patent obviousness or how it is applied,” he commented.
