LOS ANGELES, April 28, 2025 – Knobbe Martens is pleased to share that litigation partner Brian Horne has been recognized on Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2025 “Top 100 Lawyers” list.
Mr. Horne, a leading trial lawyer who is the managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office, received this distinction for his decades-long track record of litigating complex, high-profile cases in Southern California and throughout the country.
Among his recent successes, in October 2024 Mr. Horne led the Knobbe Martens team that represented Masimo Corporation in a highly anticipated jury trial where Apple asserted six utility and design patents. Mr. Horne and the team ultimately secured a complete victory for Masimo on all claims against its current products and invalidated one of the utility-patent claims Apple asserted. Earlier in the year, Mr. Horne played a key role on the Knobbe Martens team that successfully represented renowned German artist Christopher Bauder in a trial before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), resulting in a full and complete defense victory.
This is the latest of several recognitions for Mr. Horne, a past honoree of the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Leader in Law” and “Leader of Influence: Litigators & Trial Attorneys” awards. He has been featured multiple times in Am Law’s Litigator of the Week column, recognized by The Legal 500 “United States” for his exemplary work in trademark litigation and named a “World IP Leader” by World Intellectual Property Review, among other distinctions.
