Jonathan Bachand and Jeremy Edwards, partners in Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP’s Washington D.C. office, have been named to the 2014 Washington DC Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers magazine for their intellectual property practices. The Rising Stars list includes the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in the region who are age 40 or younger and/or have been in practice for less than ten years.
Bachand has extensive experience in patent litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act and has been involved in numerous litigations involving pharmaceuticals, medical devices and other technologies. Bachand also represents numerous clients in the chemical and biotechnology industry in inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and in appeals at the Federal Circuit. He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and his J.D. from the University of Southern California and previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Kimberly A. Moore of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Edwards represents parties in intellectual property disputes in a variety of fields, from automotive to biotechnology to optics, with a particular emphasis on pharmaceutical patent litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act. He received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Maryland and his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law.
