Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP Partner Joseph Re has been named a “Top 100 Attorney in California” by The Daily Journal. The list is comprised of the 100 California attorneys the paper views as doing the most cutting-edge work in litigation, regulation and corporate transactions. Re is a nationally recognized trial and appellate attorney known for handling high-stakes patent cases throughout the country for both patent holders and accused infringers. The Daily Journal recognized Re for leading a Knobbe Martens team to achieve a complete victory for longstanding client Masimo in obtaining a verdict of more than $466 million against Philips Electronics. Additionally, the jury rejected Philips’s infringement claims for $169 million. The verdict was featured in The National Law Journal’s “Top Verdicts of 2014” as the top intellectual property verdict and fifth largest verdict overall, and was also listed as the “Top IP Award of 2014” by Law360.
Earlier this year, Re, along with Knobbe Martens partners Jon Gurka and Joseph Jennings, was recognized by The Daily Journal as one of the Top 75 Intellectual Property Litigators in California.
