Citing continued growth in the firm’s client base and attorney ranks, Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear, LLP has signed a lease to move its San Diego office from downtown to Del Mar Heights. The move is planned for August 2010.
Since the San Diego office opened in 1984 it has been located in downtown San Diego. According to Ned Israelsen, managing partner of Knobbe Martens’ San Diego office, the firm’s need for additional space resulted from steady growth of the firm over time.
“We have had a strategic plan in place for many years and have consistently hired the best associates from the best law schools to meet our clients’ needs,” said Israelsen. “Our success is directly attributed to our ongoing focus on providing the highest level of client service at a reasonable cost.” In addition to a law degree, most Knobbe Martens attorneys have one or more technical degrees in science or engineering.
Contrary to the current trend of many law firms nationwide, over the past two years, Knobbe Martens has added attorneys and promoted 11 associates to partner. To accommodate its nationwide expansion, the firm’s Seattle and Washington D.C. offices have recently moved to larger spaces.
The new San Diego office is located at 12790 El Camino Real across from the Del Mar Highlands Town Center. Amenities include a 100-plus seat auditorium which will be used to host client related events as well as functions with local business and legal organizations.
