On May 2, 2012, Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP hosted a Women in IP Networking Dinner in Orange County. Sponsored by the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), Knobbe Martens’ dinner was one of twenty-six dinners held simultaneously across the United States, Canada, and Hong Kong. Over forty-five female IP attorneys and executives gathered in Knobbe Martens’ office to share their experience and insights. The theme for the complimentary dinner was Embrace and Empower. The dinner featured coastal-inspired décor and cuisine by Soiree catering.
The Knobbe-sponsored Orange County Women in IP dinner featured Jacqueline Collins, Vice President and General Counsel for Nobel Biocare as guest speaker. Ms. Collins discussed how she has been embraced and empowered through the years by her mentors. Attendees to the Orange County dinner included in-house counsel and executives from ASICS America Corporation, Nobel Biocare, Broadcom Corporation, Candle Lamp Company, Allergan, Alpine Electronics, Edwards Life Sciences, Oakley, Pacific Life Insurance, Kia Motors America, Applied Power, TechSpace, University of California, Irvine, The Saban Research Institute at Childrens’ Hospital Los Angeles, AcuFocus, Life Technologies, and Canon USA.
