Mr. Shiroma named among “Top Young Lawyers”; Ms. Davis receives “Bridgebuilder Award”
IRVINE, Calif., September 11, 2025 – Knobbe Martens congratulates associate Ben Shiroma and Chief Diversity & Talent Development Officer Terra Davis on their recognitions at the Orange County Coalition for Diversity in the Law (OCCDL) Annual Awards Gala, held earlier this week.
The OCCDL awards recognize the attorneys, legal organizations and professionals who have proven dedication to the Orange County legal community. Mr. Shiroma was honored for his contributions to the legal community in Orange County and beyond. Ms. Davis received the prestigious “Bridgebuilder Award” for her commitment to advancing inclusion efforts at Knobbe Martens and throughout the broader legal community.
Mr. Shiroma, who focuses on patent and trade secret litigation, is involved in several legal organizations and co-chairs the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Association’s Young Lawyers Committee. Recently, Mr. Shiroma participated in the Los Angeles Bar Association’s Trial Advocacy Project (TAP), where he served as a volunteer prosecution for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. As Co-Chair of the firm’s Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) affinity group, he has developed and hosted firmwide events that foster meaningful conversations and networking opportunities for young lawyers.
Ms. Davis drives the development and execution of the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategic plan. She sits on several firmwide committees, including the Diversity, Recruiting, Mentor, Work Distribution, and Education Committees. Beyond her work at Knobbe Martens, she is an established leader in the legal community, serving on the International Board of Directors for the Legal Marketing Association and as a member and incoming Vice Chair of the Council on Access and Fairness Roster for the State Bar of California.
OCCDL is a collaborative effort of professionals from leading Orange County law firms and other community partners promoting diversity in the OC legal community. More information about the organization can be found at www.occdl.org.
