She has experience counseling emerging companies and large corporations and developing and prosecuting patent portfolios in the automotive, aerospace, medical device, outdoor recreation, and consumer products industries.

Before entering the legal profession, Harper worked as an engineer in the aerospace, automotive, and outdoor industries. This hands-on engineering experience developed her practical and creative approach to problem-solving and enables her to quickly understand complex technologies, identify meaningful distinctions, and collaborate closely with inventors throughout the patent prosecution process. Harper works directly with engineering and business teams to develop patent protection strategies, protect innovations, and navigate complex prosecution issues aligned with their technical and business objectives.
