Four Knobbe Martens Partners Named Among World’s Leading IP Strategists
Knobbe Martens is pleased to announce that four partners have been recognized for their high-caliber IP work in Intellectual Asset Management’s (IAM) newly released 2021 edition of the IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists guide. The annual list aims to identify individuals who act as leaders in the development and implementation of world-class strategies to aid IP owners in maximizing their portfolios. Individuals who are selected for the competitive guide have received a minimum of three peer recommendations, in addition to meeting a number of other qualifications.
The Knobbe Martens partners selected for the 2021 guide include:
Dan Altman, whose practice focuses on patent protection, licensing issues and strategic client counseling for the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Dan also directs the firm’s international department.
Maria Anderson, who has extensive experience in comprehensive, strategic client counseling in all aspects of intellectual property – particularly in the computer science and ecommerce fields.
Tom Cowan, who counsels aerospace, medical device, and mechanical clients on overall IP strategy, prosecutes patents and trademarks, conducts pre-litigation enforcement of IP rights, negotiates licenses, and conducts offensive and defensive diligence such as patentability and infringement studies.
Irfan Lateef, who heads the firm’s Electrical, Semiconductor & Computer Technology Litigation committee and also leads the firm’s Japan practice. Irfan’s practice focuses on technically complex and strategic patent litigation.
Earlier this year, Anderson and Cowan were also recognized as IP leaders in the inaugural IAM Strategy 300: Global Leaders guide.
