General Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist will perform payment application and collections functions in a time manner. Position involves working cohesively with team members and attorneys to ensure efficient and superior client service.
Responsibilities:
- Code and post wire and ACH payments with appropriate client information.
- Update and Maintain AR Spreadsheets.
- Correspond with attorney team as needed for application instructions and general AR assistance
- AR clerical duties to include account refund, write off and reversal requests.
- Research unidentifiable wire and ACH payments.
- Assist with Collections, collecting on 90-to-150-day Foreign Associate accounts and some domestic accounts.
- Sort and distribute returned mail.
- Assist AR Managers as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Accounting, A/R or clerical experience is highly preferred.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excel experience a must.
- Ability to follow procedures, analyze requests, and stay organized.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to be professional and maintain confidentiality.
- Must meet minimum testing requirements.
- Able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
Base salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Supervisor’s Title: Assistant Director of Finance, AR Managers
Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Hybrid option available. This position depends upon the ability of the employee to work closely with attorneys and staff members during regular scheduled hours. This position requires the ability to work overtime, which often cannot be predicted in advance.
