Three Knobbe Martens Partners Honored as “OC Visionaries” by LA Times

IRVINE, Calif., October 16, 2023  Knobbe Martens is pleased to share that managing partner Steve Nataupsky and partners Sheila Swaroop and Baraa Kahf have each been named as “OC Visionaries” by the LA Times. The list honors Orange County professionals with the “acumen and ingenuity” to impact “change within the Orange County community.”

The three were featured in the “Professional Services” category, which includes professionals who “provide indispensable services that enable [Orange County businesses] to thrive.” Individuals were selected to the list based on their backgrounds, experience and relevant recent successes.

In its profile of Mr. Nataupsky, the publication notes his role as managing partner of Knobbe Martens and his extensive experience covering all facets of intellectual property, encompassing patents, trademarks, copyrights, domain names, and trade secrets. The publication notes that he “excels in protecting these rights, pursuing infringers, and defending clients against infringement allegations.”

The publication notes Ms. Swaroop’s role as the first woman of color to chair the firm’s renowned litigation practice, and describes her as “an embodiment of leadership and advocacy.” She is also singled out for her two-plus decades’ experience championing complex technology cases, with her “strategic brilliance” in high-stakes trials, appellate work, and International Trade Commission (ITC) cases helping secure victories for global companies.

Mr. Kahf is recognized for his role as a litigation partner and chair of Knobbe Martens’ diversity committee. The publication notes his more than 15 years’ experience successfully representing clients in federal courts, the ITC and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, as well as his leadership in advancing diversity and inclusion initiatives within and beyond the firm.
