Florida Judge Enters Permanent Injunction After Patent Infringement Finding

| Mark Kachner

A Florida judge recently entered a permanent injunction against a handful of Florida businesses and their owner, barring them from further infringing a patent covering biometric security for automobiles. The injunction was entered even though the defendants never manufactured or sold an infringing device, and merely promoted the patented product to raise money to get the businesses up and running.

This case is: Spanakos v. Aronson, 9-17-cv-80965 (S.D. Fla.)
