Knobbe Martens Wins Awards for Patent Prosecution and Trademark Litigation from Managing Intellectual Property

Knobbe Martens is pleased to announce it was named by Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) as the “Top Patent Prosecution” and “Trademark Contentious” Firm in the West at the publication’s 2017 “North America Awards,” held March 24 in Washington, D.C. The awards recognize the leading intellectual property law firms in the United States and Canada, by region.

“We are honored to have been recognized for the strength and quality of our patent prosecution and trademark practice areas this year. This regional award is a testament of our firm’s dedication to providing quality service,” said Knobbe Martens Partner Amy Chun. “We have strong and enduring relationships with our clients, and the results we achieve on their behalf are main reasons why we continue to maintain our position as one of the leading intellectual property law firms.”

Knobbe Martens has also continued to be ranked annually in the patent and trademark categories of MIP magazine’s “IP Stars” survey. This year, in the survey’s trademark category announced in February, the firm ranked in the areas of trademark prosecution and trademark contentious practice. In the patent portion of MIP’s survey published earlier this month, Knobbe Martens ranked in the top national tiers for patent prosecution and bio/life sciences, as well as in the categories of PTAB litigation and patent contentious practice. Knobbe Martens has consistently been included in the top tiers for its patent and trademark work since the inception of the influential survey in 1996.

The “IP Stars” survey, the most comprehensive of its kind, covers 70 countries and ranks leading law firms by nation. The selection process is based on extensive research compiled by teams in London, New York and Hong Kong, honoring firms that are considered the most “capable, active firms in IP” in their respective jurisdictions. Rankings are based on the firm’s quality of service and depth of practice according to peer reviews by intellectual property practitioners worldwide and clients. Firms that are included have received a significant number of recommendations from peers and clients, and cannot vote or pay for their own inclusion, nor solicit votes from associates. More information can be found on MIP’s “IP Stars” website. “IP Stars” individual attorney rankings for 2017 will be released in May.
