Knobbe Martens Partners John Sganga and Jonathan Hyman Named “Client Service All-Stars” by BTI Consulting Group

Knobbe Martens is pleased to announce that BTI Consulting Group has named two partners, John Sganga and Jonathan Hyman, “Client Service All-Stars” for their superior client service in IP Litigation and Trademarks and Brand Protection, respectively. The 2017 BTI “Client Service All-Stars” report honored only 319 attorneys across all practice areas nationwide.

Client Service All-Stars were determined by the responses of more than 300 general counsel and legal decision-makers at large organizations with $1 billion or more in revenue. To be considered for the list, attorneys had to be singled out by corporate counsel for delivering outstanding client services. Mr. Sganga’s practice focuses on litigating patent, trademark, trade secret, and licensing disputes. He has been litigating IP cases for over 30 years in all forums, including bench and jury trials, arbitrations, ITC investigations, PTAB proceedings, and appeals. In 2016, after trying a trade secret misappropriation case to a jury, Mr. Sganga obtained a favorable jury verdict and judgment of over $111M for a medical device client with proprietary technology for minimally invasive mitral heart valve replacement surgery.

Mr. Hyman’s practice includes domestic and international trademark prosecution, enforcement and clearance, proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), social media issues, intellectual property licensing, copyrights, rights of publicity, domain name disputes, entertainment law, and client counseling. He also frequently conducts in-house seminars to assist clients in managing and protecting trademark portfolios.
