Knobbe Martens Client Skybox Imaging Sends Its First Satellite Into Space

Skybox Imaging’s first imaging satellite SkySat-1 was successfully deployed from a Dnepr rocket launched from Yasny, Russia on November 21, 2013.  You can see a video of the launch below.  We are pleased to report that the satellite successfully reached orbit and all systems are working.  SkySat-1 will start taking images of the Earth in the next month. Knobbe Martens obtained patents covering the SkySat-1 satellite, its imaging detector, and methods for acquiring and analyzing the images.  We look forward to the successful launch of future Skybox imaging satellites to join Sky-Sat-1 already orbiting Earth!
