Christopher Sweeney Moves To Knobbe Martens Seattle Office

Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear is pleased to announce that Christopher T. Sweeney, an associate of the firm, recently moved from the firm's San Diego office to the Seattle office. With his relocation, the Seattle office now has five attorneys who practice intellectual property law. A native of the Pacific Northwest, Sweeney obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Biochemistry and received his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law. Sweeney first joined Knobbe Martens as a summer associate in 2003 and joined the firm as an associate in 2004.

Sweeney has experience in obtaining patent protection for biotech, chemical, and pharmaceutical technologies. Before joining Knobbe Martens, Sweeney interned with the UW Office of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer (OIPTT) as well as with the Attorney General of Washington. Recently, Sweeney served as an adjunct professor at University of California, San Diego Business School teaching intellectual property law and is currently on the U.S. Practice Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO). He is also a member of the Washington State Patent Law Association (WSPLA) and the Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association (WBBA).
