Professional Profile 

Dr. Rose Pilpa is a scientist in the San Diego office. Dr. Pilpa obtained her Ph.D from the University of California Los Angeles. Prior to her graduate work, she received a dual B.S. at California Polytechnic University Pomona in Chemistry and Biotechnology. Her work was focused on protein structure and function, in particular the characterization of proteins involved in bacterial pathogenesis. 

Before joining Knobbe Martens, Dr. Pilpa worked as a technology specialist at Steinfl and Bruno LLP where she focused on patent prosecution, and had previously interned at Birch Stewart Kolacsh Birch LLP. Her intellectual property experience and practice include drafting and prosecution of patents related to chemistry, biochemistry, and biotechnology.
