Professional Profile 

As Knobbe Martens’s Assistant General Counsel, Jaime focuses on managing and resolving the firm’s internal legal affairs. Her work includes advising, counseling and training the firm's staff and nearly 300 attorneys on ethics-related topics and best practices. She develops and implements risk management programs and policies for seven offices, as well as negotiates and approves material contracts and agreements between the firm and third parties. Jaime also supervises Knobbe Martens’s Conflicts Department.

Solving problems that range from adhering to new cybersecurity laws to implementing new software firmwide is at the center of Jaime’s core competencies. She is able to identify and resolve issues and conflicts while improving the overall efficiency of firm operations. Approachable and amiable, Jaime is appreciated by those around her for her patience and honed ability to actively listen, as well as for synthesizing even the most divergent viewpoints and incorporating them into a comprehensive plan of action.

A highly motivated service provider who personally cares about everyone around her, Jaime seeks to understand what motivates each individual, identify their concerns and incorporate specific feedback into the bigger picture plan. A proven leader and team player, Jaime intuitively knows when to lead from behind and in front. An enthusiastic and persuasive individual who is adept in oral and written communication, Jaime’s dexterity is manifest in consistently providing creative yet practical solutions to even the most difficult people problems and legal challenges.

A Southern California Super Lawyers “Rising Star,” Jaime began her career in employment law at an AmLaw 100 firm. She was a partner at an Orange County creditors' rights law firm, where she represented financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies in business litigation, bankruptcy and the documentation of real estate and personal property secured loans.
